From D1 Weight Rooms to Your Gym
Keysha isn't the kind of coach who got a weekend certification and opened a gym. She holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology and strength and conditioning from Cal State Fullerton, where she was a student-athlete scholar. She's a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting certified, and CrossFit Level II certified.
Before bringing her expertise to Madison, Keysha built her career in some of the most competitive collegiate weight rooms in the country — developing athletes who went on to break records, win championships, and compete on the world stage.

What She's Built
At Wisconsin, Keysha managed her own weight room and coached 520 student-athletes across 13 teams. That year, the women's indoor track team won the 2007 NCAA Indoor National Championship — the first in school history and the first by any Big Ten school ever. A world record and two American records were broken under her watch.
At Cal State Fullerton, she trained three Olympic and National Team softball players, including four-time gold medalist Lisa Fernandez. At San Diego, her volleyball squad was ranked #15 nationally and football saw quarterback Josh Johnson drafted by Tampa Bay. At Iowa, the field hockey team finished 4th at the NCAA tournament and won the Big Ten Championship.

Beyond the Barbell
Keysha doesn't just coach — she builds communities. She organized and ran the annual MadTown Challenge, raising over $60,000 for charity between 2009 and 2021. She's served as a motivational speaker across Madison-area schools, coached track and field at four local high schools, ran a running club through Fleet Feet, and was personally selected as an Under Armour Round Table speaker.
She's been on the ground floor of CrossFit culture — working the CrossFit Games as event staff and organizing the CrossFit Games Kids event at Monona Terrace for over 500 children. She became Wisconsin's first Lululemon Ambassador, and she brings that same pioneering energy to everything she touches.
Now, with CrossFit MadCity, she's channeling two decades of elite coaching, community building, and relentless drive into a gym built for you — whether you're a seasoned competitor or someone who's never touched a barbell. This is the next chapter, and it's rising.
